Cup of the Americas Eligibility
The “Cup of the Americas” is a competition between teams from Mexico, Canada
and the United States. As such it is to the benefit of NARA that qualified teams
represent NARA at the
Cup of the Americas.
Team Prerequisites

A dog attempting to qualify for an invitation to the Cup of the Americas must have resided in the United
States (or US Territory) and been owned by the current owner for 12 Months prior to the Cup of the Americas (CoA).

The owner of
the dog does not have to be the handler at the competition, but the dog must be owned by the same person for 12 Months prior
to the Cup of the Americas to be eligible to compete as a
representative of NARA.

The handler must be a NARA member who resides in the USA or US Territory.

If the dog is an import, the term
of valid ownership may be proven by the date on the manifest from shipping.

Proof of ownership
and dates, if in question, may be provided by A.K.C., U.K.C. or S.C.C. or any nationally recognized registration papers or
scorebook, which each competitor is responsible for providing to the officials before the competition.
Presentation of an official
scorebook is required prior to competing and the only Ring titles considered valid are the ones entered in this scorebook signed
by a Licensed Judge.
Scoring Prerequisites

Teams that are trying to become
eligible to compete at the CoA must have earned one passing score (80% or greater)
in the level in which they wish to compete.

The one requisite score must be obtained within the 12 months leading up to the CoA.

The teams who meet the requisite requirements will be eligible
to represent NARA at the Cup of Americas.

The requisite
passing scores for the respective levels may be obtained at any trial conducted by an organization under of the auspices of the SCC
(NARA, CRA, GTRM, GTR, etc…).
